it was a very good year

It started off with a Bang. We all heard it through. Though, what most of the world didn’t know was that Ed Hughes’s 1950 Type 2 Volkswagen “Barndoor” had arrived at the shop from Orange County, California. The van was about to undergo the recreation of it’s original hand-painted signage, giving this ‘50 a more definitive title- The Radium Bus. The project proved to be unprecedented in the custom paint & auto restoration world with 250 hours tirelessly dedicated to the replication and application of the advertising signage alone. There is so much we hope to share of that process in detail with future Journal posts.
